The School of Social Work at the University of Edenberg and Sir Edward College of Health and Allied Sciences are committed to training compassionate professionals who will make a meaningful impact on individuals, families, and communities in Tanzania and across Africa. Academic Staff
The faculty at the School of Social Work comprises experienced professionals dedicated to high-quality education, research, and community service.

Duration of the Programme
The School of Social Work at the University of Edenberg offers a variety of programs, each with a specific duration designed to meet the needs and schedules of our diverse student body.
  • Undergraduate Programme - 4 Years of Eight (8) Semesters each.
  • Postgraduate Programme - 2 Years of Four (4) Semesters each with final semester is dedicated for Dissertation and Research projects.
Mode of Delivery
Our programs are delivered through a flexible and student-centered approach:
  • On-campus Lectures and Seminars – Face-to-face interactive sessions for deeper learning and engagement.
  • Online Learning – Digital platforms offering course materials, discussions, and assignments for flexible learning.
  • Field Practicum – Real-world experience through supervised placements in relevant institutions.
  • Research and Capstone Projects – Independent study guided by faculty mentors to address pressing social issues.
Entry Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree Programme
General School Certificate of Education or Cambridge International Examinations or Equivalent. or Diploma in the relevant field to be admitted to second year.
  • Master Degree Programme
A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized institution relevant to the programme.
